We needed somewhere handy to stay after flying in from Haneda airport, just for 2 nights, before heading to Hokkaido. We used the monorail, changing onto the Yamanote line & elected to get off at Kanda Station, despite the easy proximity to Tokyo Station. Using the south exit at Kanda, it was an easy walk to the hotel. As Tokyo station is huge & we had been travelling 11 hours, the small station of Kanda was much quicker & easier to navigate than Tokyo Station! The hotel is kind of halfway between them. This hotel was a gem. Our rate was very reasonable (we did book in advance & prepay) & included breakfast. The breakfast was better than basic with enough variety (we thought). It suited us fine & they had takeaway containers for people in a hurry! The room was very clean & we had a seating area with a view of the railway lines for a bit of trainspotting but couldn't hear them. The room was super quiet! On our departure, it was an easy walk with suitcases to Tokyo station & despite the rain, we were undercover for much of it. Level, easy walking, perfect for anyone with a suitcase! This hotel was terrific value & we would stay again. Wifi was great, staff very nice, great stay. PS the dining options nearby were fantastic too. Lots of choices, lively atmosphere

The staff at this hotel are wonderful and they are always very helpful and polite. Many thanks for arranging a room for me with a great view of the Shinkansen! If you are an admirer of the amazing railway of Japan, then this is a hotel for you. Despite of the location, the soundproofing seems to work very well so I slept very well. Another highlight is the breakfast at this hotel, highly recommended with plenty of tasty choices. Lovely thought on the special menu for the New Year's Day. Really enjoyed staying here and will certainly come back next time I am in Tokyo.

It was busy at check-in, but staff were well organized, friendly and well trained. The standard room at the front of the hotel was small but light, airy, clean and well-decorated. The room appears to be sound proof definitely to the outside which is good because it's on a busy road near the train track. Breakfast is basic but was included so appreciated. Coffee is good. I'd definitely stay here again; it was very pleasant especially for a 2 star hotel.

We chose to have single rooms which after a long flight meant better sleeping for all of our family members. The single rooms are small, but reasonable, the bed is hard - which I don't like, but my husband does - but a good size. The staff were very helpful, especially considering our lack of Japanese. Close to the Tokyo Station. Very clean. I'd describe this hotel as a business hotel, one where businesspeople stay over night when in Tokyo for work.

Location: The hotel is about 750 m from Tokyo Station, the main departure point in Tokyo for tourists. Moreover, there is the Mitsukoshimae subway station (Z line and G line)) about 300 m away. The kindness of the entire staff: for example, I had a problem with a Japanese phone card and for more than 30 minutes a lady at the reception took care of solving it, always with a smile on her face.
