I had a great stay at this hotel. Unlike what some have commented, my room didnt appear or feel dated. Actually, the whole hotel didnt look old. The hotel has a cheerful and pleasant vibe. The room, although small by non-Tokyo standards, is slightly bigger than the rooms of the newer budget hotels (cough, APA, cough). Regarding the controls for the airconditioning/heating, its a simple low-medium-high kind of control. Since the weather was still cold last week, the hotel's central temperature control was set to heating. Whenever I find my room a little nippy, I just put the heat on low for some time, then turn it off. When I feel a little warm, I just open the window slightly and the room immediately cools. There were several nights when I left the window open. No problem with the street noise as there were hardly any at night. The bed was fine for me - not too hard nor soft. The bed comes with one Tempur pillow, but I asked for an extra soft pillow upon check in and I was given one immediately by the staff. The bathroom was nice and clean. They clean the room every 3rd day of your stay but they enter your room everyday to empty the trash and put in new towels. Location was fantastic. Its a quiet place but just a short walk away is Tokyo Station, and even nearer is Kanda Station, when you go the other way. I preferred using Kanda Station, btw. I enjoyed my walks in that area, and Kanda Station is much smaller than Tokyo Station so its easy to navigate inside. Lots of restaurants and shops around Kanda Station. There's a Nakau branch in front of the hotel that is open 24 hours. It specializes in chicken but they also have other dishes. Its a value-for-money place. Delicious and hot food at reasonable prices. There's also a Ministop and 7-Eleven nearby. Most of the staff I encountered were friendly and nice, except for the girl that I talked with when I was checking out. Not friendly at all. Would stay here again!

The staff at this hotel are wonderful and they are always very helpful and polite. Many thanks for arranging a room for me with a great view of the Shinkansen! If you are an admirer of the amazing railway of Japan, then this is a hotel for you. Despite of the location, the soundproofing seems to work very well so I slept very well. Another highlight is the breakfast at this hotel, highly recommended with plenty of tasty choices. Lovely thought on the special menu for the New Year's Day. Really enjoyed staying here and will certainly come back next time I am in Tokyo.

Close to many tube / train stations. Very clean. Good breakfast selection - Japanese mainly but with a fair selection of western options too. Lovely staff. Vending machines, microwave, washing machine on one of the floors. Compact but very adequate bathroom. Twin room was also very adequate in size. Close to lots of places to eat. The nearby Coredo building had lots of good restaurants (burgers, salad bar, craft ale, Italian and traditional Japanese) and gift shops, along with underground access to 2 tube stops.

We had a corner room on the 4th floor. The room was a good size compared to other Tokyo hotels. We had a good view of the shinkansen trains going into Tokyo station. Sound proofing in room was excellent, even with road works going on outside. The staff were outstanding, very helpful and friendly, and always with a smile on their faces. The room was clean and most important for us quiet, We didn't hear other guests or outside noise. Also It's easier to use Kanda station instead of Tokyo station

Location: The hotel is about 750 m from Tokyo Station, the main departure point in Tokyo for tourists. Moreover, there is the Mitsukoshimae subway station (Z line and G line)) about 300 m away. The kindness of the entire staff: for example, I had a problem with a Japanese phone card and for more than 30 minutes a lady at the reception took care of solving it, always with a smile on her face.
